Stepwise polymerization enables tailored perovskite ink for scalable flexible perovskite solar cells

A chemical mesh trick lets bendable solar cells hit 25.13% efficiency, near rigid-cell levels.

Weifu Zhang, Zhaojin Wang et al.

A new chemical method makes bendable solar panels almost as good as rigid ones, even at large sizes. Two chemicals get mixed into the solar material while it forms. They link together into a support mesh. This mesh makes the panel more stable and easier to build at large sizes without losing power.
