In mice, an antibody treatment for tumors fails without a working internal immune sensor.
In mice, a cancer immune treatment only worked when certain immune cells had a working internal sensor. This sensor sits inside the cell and detects foreign signals. It switches on genes that fight tumors. Without this sensor, treatment failed and tumor supporting immune cells stayed unhelpful.
Shows a specific internal alarm system in immune cells is needed for the treatment to work in mice.
